The plan
- Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh by 12 PM and check into a partnered homestay, your cosy base in the mountains.
- Spend the day resting and acclimatising to the high-altitude air.
- In the evening, take a slow stroll to Leh Market—explore the Tibetan shops, pick a pashmina scarf, or simply sip butter tea in a quiet corner.
- Gather around a bonfire at the homestay for a trip briefing and an ice-breaking session.
- Enjoy a hearty in-house dinner and sleep early.
Leh at a glance:
Leh is one of the few places in India that boasts an amalgamation of Ladakhi and Tibetan cultures, along with an impeccable landscape. The old part of the town is dotted with stupas and whitewashed homes, which encircle the steep rocky ridge topped by the Tibetan-style Leh Palace. Beneath the ridge, the bustling market area is lined with Tibetan cafes, everyday shops, souvenir stalls, and a web of lanes.

“The Leh Ladakh (with umling la pass) trip has been nothing short of exceptional and memorable for me!This trip comprised of 7 nights, spread across Leh, hunder (nubra valley), pangong lake and hanle. The Zostel team has been really great in handling the group of ~10 members and creating cherish able experiences. Special shout out to Vishal bhai for enabling the same and ensuring that all the queries are answered and resolved in time, if any. The Zostel team made sure that travel experiences are not impacted anywhere and am truly impressed by their dedication towards the same! The stays were great, food was amazing and awesome raw natural beauty of Leh Ladakh. The Zostel team ensured that we had enough time to explore and also cover all checklist items. Overall, I’d highly recommend ZoTrips!”

“I recently went on a Ladakh trip organized by Zo Trip, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, everything was perfectly planned and seamlessly executed. Ricky and Tsewang acho made the journey extra special. They were not only knowledgeable about the region’s history, culture, and hidden gems, but also incredibly kind, patient, and attentive to everyone’s needs. Whether it was navigating the high passes, explaining local traditions, or making sure we were comfortable at every stop, they went above and beyond to make the trip smooth and memorable. The itinerary was well-balanced—covering breathtaking landscapes like Pangong Lake and Nubra Valley, while also giving us time to soak in the beauty of monasteries, villages, and local life. The accommodations and logistics were well arranged, and we never had to worry about a thing. What stood out most was the personal touch Ricky and Tsewang added—they made us feel more like friends than just travelers. Their passion for Ladakh and genuine care for the group really shone through. I would highly recommend Zo Trip and especially guides like Ricky and Tsewang to anyone planning to explore Ladakh. This trip has given me memories for a lifetime, and I’m so grateful to have experienced it with such a wonderful team.”
